Substance Abuse Program

High Point is licensed by the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

High Point is a provider of Partial Care, Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Treatment for Substance Use Disorders in Hunterdon, Somerset, Warren, Mercer, Middlesex, Sussex, Morris and Union Counties. We provide transportation to clients.

Our Mission:

High Point will provide quality, integrated, community based outpatient substance abuse and co-occurring treatment by competent, credentialed professionals.  High Point will provide psycho-educational sessions, group sessions, and family sessions along with individual counseling and psychiatric services.  These services will take place in a therapeutic environment with the specific goals of maintaining abstinence and gaining solid relapse prevention skills and recovery management.  These services will be provided in a physical environment that is safe and respectful of the clients and staff.

  • To provide quality addictions treatment services to our clients and their families
  • To utilize the best evidence based treatment methods
  • To assure that both the client and the family receives services
  • To provide individualized services that reflect specific client needs

Our Program:

Our Partial Care Program is held from 9:20am - 3:45pm.

Our Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Program is held from  9:20 am – 1:05 pm.

Program participation hours are dependent on the level of care recommended for treatment.

Our program Psychiatrist/APN is available for initial psychiatric evaluations, psychiatric follow up appointments, medication education and medication monitoring. We also have the ability to prescribe Suboxone and Vivitrol.

Who would benefit from the program?

Our model is designed for the adult client who is in need of alcohol and substance abuse treatment. Clients who are experiencing co-occurring disorders can effectively make use of this program as well.


How the Program Works:

A client wishing to utilize our services must first complete a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment. After the evaluation, a referral to treatment can be made. The frequency of our program varies from 5 days per week to one day a week. Placement in treatment is based on individual need.

The group cycle is facilitated by trained professionals in the field. Treatment includes, but is not limited to individual and group counseling, interactive discussions, and activities. The treatment model is highly structured and relies on evidence based practices.

  • Early recovery
  • Relapse prevention
  • Family education group
  • Aftercare support

  • Suboxone therapy

Treatment team:

The clinical team is made up of Licensed Professionals including the Director, Clinician, Psychiatrist/APRN, Case Manager and other agencies involved in the clients treatment.
